Having used other brands and unbranded battery saws previously, I was interested to see if reputable make such as Bosch really offers a superior product to justify the price. Certain things have been a disappointment on other brands in the past such as thin flimsy metal base plate poor materials and performance.The bosch GKS 18V-51 arrives in a simple all cardboard well packaged box, complete with multilanguage manual. REading the manual carefully, reveals that there are a few things to note that are not obvious from the general description.I knew that there was no battery included, which I already have for another Bosch device. The batteries are all compatible. However, the manual has no packing list, but indicates with tiny footnotes that the following items are not included in the standard package.-no parallel guide-No securing nut-No dust extraction adaptor-No hex key for the spindle lock-No circular bladeThere is also an odd misprint on the manual front cover. Looking at the language references for English shows correctly. However, there is also uk. uk" is not a standard language code; it's the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code for the United Kingdom, and the correct language code for English (United Kingdom) is "en-GB".When it comes to 'professional ' kit, details matter. The other anomaly is that the manual states that no blade is included. I'm glad to saw this was incorrect and that a Bosch circular saw blade is in fact included in the box.The saw is well built, it has a good work balance and the materials are robust including that all important base plate. I like the soft start and the brake. There are important features that I have not had on previous battery circular saws.There is plenty of torque on this saw, providing the battery is fully charged and the saw is set correctly. It cuts accurately on the 45 degree angle, providing I use the correct angle guide on the base plate. Generally, this is a good saw, good build quality, good features and at a reasonable price
