The instruction book which comes with this Fashion Designer Kit lists the contents for three different kits so be sure you look at the correct kit to find the pieces. The instruction book also shows different designs you can make, but not all of the designs go with the kit I received.The kit I received comes with 10 pieces of pretty fabric. Some of the fabric is described as “yarn” fabric but I think they mean gauze fabric. There are different sizes of the pieces and some pieces of fabric are the same. I had hoped to use this kit with my granddaughter who is interested in sewing but the fabric is not something I can use with a beginning sewer on a sewing machine. Using the needle for some of the pieces and using a pattern to cut some of the pieces will be a good experience for her.The instructions say you need child safety scissors, but child safety scissors will not cut the fabric. I used my good fabric scissors for cutting and my eight year old granddaughter won’t have any problem with that. This kit is designed for 8 to 12 year olds and kids that age should be able to handle good scissors.There are six mannequins which have to be put together. You have to push really hard to get the pieces together. The sides don’t snap quite closed but that shouldn’t be a problem.The contents of this kit differ a little from the contents listed in the instruction book but they do match up with the product page. Some of the “round decorative accessories” had fallen off the paper.There is a QR code on one of the pages which is supposed to lead to more design ideas. Instead, it took me to the WeChat download.

This fashion designer kit is an excellent present for a young girl who likes to be creative and make things. It comes with all the parts that you need and it is a great little kit to keep your kids busy on a rainy afternoon.

This is a great gift for anyone wanting to be a fashion designer.The set consists of mannequins and fabric to set up the clothing. This does not come with any scissors but no issues with that.Easy to use and follow the instructions, decent fun and good quality - at £17 I think it’s good value for anyone wanting to play “fashion designer”
