This is an amazing little device; a vocal and guitar processor in one small package. Echo and reverb for both voice and guitar and a chorus feature for the guitar. All the effects are adjustable/customizable and this is where the system gets a bit complex. While it can be a daunting task, it's worth the effort. One great feature is the vocal harmony. Very changeable and adjustable with higher, lower, and both available. The harmony is tied to the guitar chords or melody so it's always good. While this is a great tool just on it's own, the addition of the Switch-3 or Switch-6 adds additional functionality and features that really enhance the product.

Great color. Only 3 saved settings but good enough considering the price. Great tool for adding efx to vocal without spending too much money on many pedals or higher end TC helicon pedals.

In my experience, most products have at the most a 75% satisfaction factor - at least 25% of the features/ performance parameters are not what you wanted or expected. But with the Perform-VG guitar-cum-vocal processor, I've so far not found anything that seemed even remotely superfluous or inadequate.Vocal echo and reverb are good, but the Harmony function is really exciting. I spent over three hours experimenting and ended up sleeping past 2 am, still wishing I had more time to try out the various setting with different songs. All the harmony notes are absolutely spot on - I couldn't have asked for anything better. The LED indications for the 13 harmony settings are logical and very simple to remember - no need to refer to the manual. In fact, the logic for ALL the LED indications is very easy to understand and remember.Haven't had much time yet to experiment with the Guitar Effects, but so far they've not disappointed. Reverb and echo make a distinct difference, though it did take me a bit of time to get the BodyRez setting right. The operating manual too is pretty explicit, and I had no problems at all in figuring out how to set parameters and activate effects on the unit. The clamps for fixing the unit to a mic stand are really cool - it makes using the unit very convenient, though for performances, one would need the Switch-3 or Switch-6 unit. I now intend to get the Switch-3 unit ASAP.All in all, A GREAT BUY and TOTAL VALUE FOR MY MONEY.I'd strongly recommend it to anyone who cares to read this review. Thanks TC Helicon, for this superlative product!

I've been using the VK for 6 months in performance and rehearsal. The VK will (primarily) "listen" to midi events from your keyboard and intuitively generate believable real-time harmonies, adding them to your live vocal performance. That's a pretty cool trick for a couple hundred dollars. One vocalist can fill out a bands' entire vocal sound, or in a solo gig you can add sibling harmonies at the touch of a button. The reverbs are lush and the "tone" button does what you hope it will, which may be worth the price of the unit right there. The pitch correction is well-mannered and not glitchy. Really, the little wedge is a big achievement and does other things you may or may not need. There's no XLR out, just TRS, but that's not a huge deal. The REAL limitation involves not being able to isolate harmonies from the primary vocal - you can't change those levels in your vocal mix. It's all or nothing. If that's a deal-breaker for you, this isn't your harmonizer. (Having said that, routing options are apparently available via USB and a DAW and some users might be comfortable adding that much complexity to a live setting.) My sense is that currently you need to spend much more money to get the effect the VK provides AND isolate the various outputs. Ultimately, the VK is sturdy, simple and the price point is amazing. What it does, it does well and that absolutely deserves 5 stars.
